Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Vexa App LLC (“Rexa,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Rexa mobile application (the “App”). Rexa helps students and residents browse university dining hall menus, log meals, and track nutrition. By using the App you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name (optional, and only if you choose to share it) and an email address or a private relay address. You may also use the App as a guest without an account.
- Nutrition and dietary data. Meals you log, foods and plates you save, favorites, dietary preferences and allergen filters, custom foods you create, and any goals you set.
- Referral activity. Referral codes you create or redeem.
- Support messages. Feedback or questions you send us through the App.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Basic in-app events (for example, which screens and features you use) so we can understand and improve the App.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and error logs, including device model, operating system version, and technical error details.
- Approximate or precise location. Only if you grant permission, and only to show nearby dining halls and distances. Location is used on your device and is not stored by us for tracking or advertising.
- Subscription status. Whether you hold an active Rexa Plus subscription or promotional access. Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive your payment card details.
2. How we use your information
- Provide the App’s core features: menus, meal logging, saved items, and nutrition tracking.
- Sync your data to your account so it is available across sessions and devices.
- Provide the AI dining assistant, which answers questions about menus and nutrition.
- Operate Rexa Plus subscriptions, the launch promotion, and the referral program.
- Diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and improve reliability and performance.
- Respond to your support requests.
3. How your information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run the App, and only as needed for them to perform their function. These include:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users’ safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deleting your account removes your logged meals, saved items, and profile from our systems, subject to limited retention required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. Guest data stored only on your device is removed when you delete the App.
5. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, or delete your data through the App, or by contacting us.
- Revoke location, camera, or notification permissions at any time in your device settings.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights to access, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Nutrition and allergen information
Menu, nutrition, and allergen data is provided by university dining services through Nutrislice and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Rexa is an informational tool and is not medical advice. If you have a food allergy or dietary medical condition, always confirm ingredients directly with dining hall staff before eating.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience of university students and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International users
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country, including in regions where our service providers operate. By using the App you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
